Signposting refers to the products and brands in which consumers subconsciously visually rely on to navigate physical retail stores. As consumers navigate the aisles, they may recognize certain colours and shapes in their peripheral vision that indicate the product category of that aisle.
Our team set out to identify whether signposting existed in the digital space to inform the development of a mobile methodology capable of identifying potential signpost brands and products.
